Nick Baumann is a 14-year-old freshman and accomplished multi-instrumentalist from Delaware, Ohio, known for his exceptional talent and dynamic versatility across a wide range of musical genres.
A dedicated musician from a very young age, Nick began formal piano training at the age of three. His foundational skills on the keyboard provided the springboard for a rapidly expanding musical repertoire.
He developed proficiency on drums, and during the pandemic, he further diversified his artistry by adding guitar, bass, and cello to his skill set.
Nick is also a member of the Columbus Youth Jazz Band, and is deeply involved in his school's music program, where he performs as the sole bassist in the jazz band, is a member of the marching band, and plays cello in the orchestra. Notably, Nick was the only freshman to earn the coveted snare drum position in his school's marching band program while also winning the only band camp percussion award for excellence.
Nick now specializes in keyboard and bass, serving as the bassist for At It Again, a premier and highly sought-after country band in the Columbus area, led by Shane Langley.
With At It Again, Nick delivers powerful performances that span the musical spectrum—from country anthems to hard-hitting metal. The band's setlist includes everything from iconic classics like "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" to contemporary hits such as Luke Bryan's "Play It Again," showcasing Nick's remarkable adaptability and professional stage presence.
Further demonstrating his incredible range, Nick also anchors the rhythm section for the versatile Central Ohio band One Number Off. With this ensemble, he effortlessly transitions between genres, powering through an electrifying setlist that spans the dark, melodic riffs of Ghost's "Square Hammer," the explosive energy of Guns N' Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle," the classic rock anthem "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" by Pat Benatar, along with many more.
Building on his extensive performance experience, Nick has begun channeling his creativity into original songwriting and is currently in the process of recording his own material. This new venture marks an exciting expansion of Nick's artistic journey.
Beyond his work with the band, Nick is committed to using his talent for community good. He was honored to perform as a guest artist at the Central Ohio Women Who Rock benefit show, an event dedicated to supporting survivors of abuse. For this appearance, he debuted his infectiously addictive original song, " Bonnie," a performance that was subsequently featured on local news.
Looking ahead, Nick is enthusiastically developing his original compositions for future debut while continuing his dynamic performances with At It Again and is also exploring new collaborative projects.
Ready for any musical challenge, Nick brings passion, precision, and a profound love for music to every stage.
